Hitting its fifth year, BRIX Tavern’s Annual Golf Tournament is once again stacking up to be the event of the season. On Monday, September 12th, attendees will take over the grounds at Rose City Golf Course in northeast Portland, clubs in hand to be slung into their respective team golf carts along with their BRIX Tavern Brown Bag lunch provided for each player. A shotgun start to the scramble style game, thirty-six golf carts hurtle pell-mell to their starting hole.

With games and entertainment on every hole, swings don’t stay steady for long. Previous years have seen Indio Spirits, Belvedere Vodka, Azuñia Tequila, Jim Beam, Southern Wine and Spirits, and Young’s Market representing. Players keep it together, though, in hopes of winning some of the individual prizes at featured holes including the longest drive, closest to the pin, and hole-in-one, the latter sponsored by Gresham Subaru for a well-placed ace to win a brand new car.

Eighteen holes later, golf carts packed a bit less tidily back in their grid, attendees grab plates for the BRIX dinner buffet while awaiting the results of the silent auction items and raffle prizes: golf gear and passes, an autographed Blazers jersey, wine tasting packages, and more. Placement prizes are awarded to the three lowest scoring teams, while the winners of it all take home a trophy.

All of this in the name of charity — all proceeds benefit the Brian Grant Foundation, with the former Blazers player Brian Grant himself carrying his team through the round. Space still available for players to sign up! Teams of four or solo registration are both welcome; solo registrants will be grouped into teams. The title sponsorship is still available, though time is narrowing quickly to the September date. Hole, lunch, and dinner sponsorships are filling up fast, brands not wanting to miss out the fun.

Most holes will feature 2 sponsors.

A title sponsorship would include complete company logo promotion on all marketing aspects generated for the tournament: all signs, banners, posters, table tents, tickets, websites, social media platforms, etc. company-wide including the same promotion from the Brian Grant Foundation.
